- Drill holes and mount the indoor unit’s bracket securely.
- Pipe and Cable Routing:
- Determine the best route for refrigerant pipes, drain pipes, and electrical wiring.
- Drill a hole through the wall (if necessary) for external pipework.
- Install trunking to enclose pipes and cables neatly.
- Connecting Pipes and Wiring:
- Connect refrigerant pipes to the indoor unit.
- Ensure proper insulation to prevent condensation.
- Connect drain pipe with a slight slope for efficient drainage.
- Run electrical cables through trunking for a neat finish.
3. Outdoor Unit Installation
- Positioning and Mounting:
- Select a well-ventilated area away from obstructions.
- Install anti-vibration mounts for noise reduction.
- Secure the outdoor unit to a suitable surface or wall brackets.
- Connecting Pipework and Electrical Wiring:
- Route refrigerant pipes from the indoor unit through trunking to the outdoor unit.
- Connect pipes securely, ensuring leak-free fittings.
- Vacuum test the system to remove air and moisture.
- Connect electrical wiring according to manufacturer specifications.
- Final Sealing and Trunking Installation:
- Secure all pipework and cabling within trunking for protection.
- Seal trunking to prevent water ingress.
4. System Testing and Commissioning
- Leak Testing:
- Perform a pressure test to check for refrigerant leaks.
- Charge the system with the correct refrigerant level.
- Electrical Testing:
- Check voltage and connections to prevent short circuits.
- Ensure proper earthing and insulation.
- Operational Testing:
- Turn on the system and check cooling efficiency.
- Verify airflow, temperature control, and drainage function.
- User Training and Handover:
- Explain operation and maintenance to office staff.
- Provide documentation and emergency contact details.
5. Post-Installation Clean up and Safety Checks
- Clear all debris and dispose of packaging properly.
- Conduct a final safety inspection.
- Schedule a follow-up visit if necessary.
