The Challenge

Kyowa Kirin’s server room in Galashiels relies on precise, round-the-clock cooling to protect critical IT infrastructure. With server racks generating constant heat load, even a short cooling failure risks downtime and equipment damage — so the two Daikin twin split systems covering the room need to be kept in full working order with no room for error.

Envirotech MS previously worked on this site around five years ago. Earlier this year, Kyowa Kirin came back to us to take on the maintenance again.

Our Solution

Envirotech MS carried out planned servicing of both Daikin twin split systems, checking performance, refrigerant levels and airflow to make sure the server room stays within safe operating temperatures. As part of an environment housing sensitive data infrastructure, the work was carried out with minimal disruption to the space and in line with the site’s access requirements.

The Result

Both systems were confirmed running efficiently, giving Kyowa Kirin continued confidence in the cooling protecting their server room. Having returned to Envirotech MS after five years, Kyowa Kirin now has us back on site providing ongoing maintenance support.
