Project Overview
Envirotech Maintenance Services recently completed the replacement of an ageing air conditioning system serving a school server room in Loftus.
The existing Daikin system had reached the end of its serviceable life and was becoming increasingly unreliable. As the server room housed critical IT infrastructure, maintaining a stable temperature was essential to protect equipment and minimise the risk of downtime.
The Challenge
Server rooms generate heat continuously and require reliable cooling 24 hours a day, regardless of the weather or whether the building is occupied.
The existing Daikin unit had become inefficient and was no longer providing the level of reliability expected for such a critical environment. Our Solution
Following a site survey, Envirotech Maintenance Services recommended replacing the existing system with a new Panasonic wall-mounted air conditioning system.
The project included:
- Safe removal and environmentally responsible disposal of the existing Daikin equipment.
- Installation of a new Panasonic air conditioning system.
- New refrigeration pipework connections and electrical integration.
- Pressure testing, evacuation and refrigerant charging.
- Full commissioning and operational testing.
- Customer handover with guidance on operation and maintenance.
The installation was carefully planned to minimise disruption to the school’s day-to-day activities while ensuring continuous protection for the server room.
